What you should know before booking

Lash Extensions

     Please arrive on time with your lashes clean and free of any debris. If you are later than 10 minutes you will be asked to reschedule due to inconveniencing the next client.

AVOID CAFFEINE before appointment, It may cause eye fluttering which can cause lash technician to have a difficult time applying lashes, and could result in you having to reschedule your appointment. You will be given aftercare instructions make sure to follow all instructions in order to extend the life of your brand new lashes! PLAN TO NOT GET YOUR LASHES WET FOR THE FIRST 24-48 HOURS.

 All fills are every 2-3 weeks if you are missing more than 40% of your lashes or if you can count the lashes it will be considered a full set. If you have lost most of your lashes and arrive for a fill appointment,  you will forfeit your deposit, and have to reschedule for a full set and pay a new deposit.

LIP & FACE FILLERS

 

PRETREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

• Scrub dry lips with a sugar and a natural oil such as coconut oil in the week before the treatment. Avoid vitamin E oil because it can cause bleeding.

• Skip coffee, soda or caffeinated beverages the day of treatment.

• Vitamin E supplements, aspirin and ibuprofen can cause bleeding and should be discontinued a week prior to treatment.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Drink plenty of water to help the crosslinked hyaluronic acid hold onto moisture and create its volume effect.

• Avoid extreme temperatures including saunas for 2-3 days

• Avoid exercising immediately following the hyaluron pen session.

• Avoid extreme temperatures including saunas for 2-3 days.

• Swimming should be avoided for 2-3 days afterwards.

• Avoid extreme temperatures including steam rooms and saunas for 2-3 days.

• Keep lips moisturized with petroleum jelly

• Wear a lip balm with SPF if outdoors.

Microblading/combo/ombre brow procedure

Please arrive on time! If you are later than 15 minutes you will forfeit any deposit and will have to reschedule. Pigment will fade after time and that's why a 12-18 month touch up is needed. Depending on your skin type, how well they were taken care of and preferred look, that will determine how soon touchup is needed.  If you are missing most of your pigment then it will be a full session again. Consultation/ clear photo is needed for determination.

YOU SHOULD NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE

  • * Pregnant
    * Breastfeeding
    * If you have tendency to keloid,or have birthmarks or moles on area.
    * Diabetic.
    * Serious diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, autoimmune disorders
    (doctor's note required)
    * Circulatory disorders (
    doctor's note is required)
    * Any bleeding disorders
    * You're taking blood thinning medication OR have any heart conditions/Pace maker
    * Currently on Accutane or other strong retinoids
    (must wait until 6 months after treatment ends)
    * If any skin diseases symptoms or irritation appears on the area.
    * If you have MRSA or have or had shingles on your face
  • *You've recently had Botox or Dysport treatment (must wait 2 months)
    * Old PMU
    * You have a broken capillary in the eyebrows area
    * If you have a sunburn. 
    * After waxing (
    must wait 3 days)
    *After chemical peels
    (must wait two weeks)and If you are using retin-A you must wait at least 1 month.
  • *If you are allergic to topical numbing agents such as lidocaine,tetracaine, benzocaine etc...

 THE FOLLOWING MUST BE AVOIDED FIRST 14 DAYS AFTER PROCEDURE:

 - Increased sweating - Practicing sports - Swimming - Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi - Sun tanning or salon tanning - UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading - Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck - Picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment - Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris - Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds - Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles - Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab 


FOR APPOINTMENTS REQUIRING DOCTORS NOTES, THEY MUST BE SUBMITTED TO ME AT LEAST 72 HOURS BEFORE APPOINTMENT TIME OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT AND NEED TO RESCHEDULE APPOINTMENT.

       

 DO NOT USE 

 Do not drink caffeinated drinks on the day of treatment.

 Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen less than 48 hours before treatment. 

 Do not take omega3 (fish oil) 1 week before treatment. 

 Do not tan or have intense sun exposure at least 1 week before treatment 

 Do not drink alcohol less than 48 hours before appointment.

Avoid any blood thinners one week before.



MICRONEEDLING PROCEDURE

Do not book if you  

  • * Have used Accutane (isotretinoin) within the last year. 
  • * Have acne or open wounds, cuts or abrasions on the skin  
  • * Have had radiation treatment to the skin within the last year 
  • * Have any kind of current skin infection, condition, herpes simplex in the area to be treated 
  • * Are pregnant or breast feeding 
  • * Have any history of keloid or hypertrophic scars or poor wound healing I understand that there are some risks with any procedure. 
  • *Allergic to any numbing agents such as lidocaine,tetracaine,benzocaine etc...

 

The following are possible reactions with Micro-needling: temporary bruising, skin discomfort during injections, redness or swelling, lightening or darkening of the skin, itching and burning. Skin infection is a possibility any time an injection or surgical procedure is done. Side effects are most of the time temporary and typically resolve within 3 days. Total healing time depends on the depth of the treatment, skin type, and skin condition, and some patients may heal completely in 24 hours.

LIP BLUSHING WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • There will be moderate swelling, redness and bruising for the first 5 days.
  • Apply a Ziploc bag filled with water and ice for no more than 15 minutes at a time to reduce swelling.
  • During the initial healing period, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is scabbing or flaking, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own.
  • Expect the color to eventually lighten by up to 40% once the healing process is complete.
  • Color may appear uneven at different stages of healing. Be patient. This is a process that does not yield immediate results.



LIP BLUSH CONTRAINDICATIONS 


lip blushing is not for everyone. please read the contraindications carefully. if any of the following apply to you, this procedure is not recommended...


  • You are a smoker (pigment may not retain properly, colors may distort). ...If you have a history of MRSA
  • You have psoriasis in the treatment area.
  • You have an auto-immune disease.
  • You have thyroid/graves disease (medication may cause pigment to not retain properly). ...You have anemia (pigment may not retain properly).
  • You have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring.
  • You are currently undergoing chemotherapy.
  • You are pregnant or nursing. (You cannot have this service. No exceptions.)
  • You have Diabetes type 1 or 2 (due to slow healing and infection, color may or may not retain well).
  • If you are under a doctor’s care and have questions at ALL about being able to have this procedure, it is your responsibility to meet with your doctor and get written approval.
  • If you are prone to cold sores, please see instructions below.

** Please note.... even if none of the above apply, lip blushing cannot be guaranteed. This is a cosmetic tattooing procedure, the skin can be unpredictable, it is up to your skin to retain the pigment. Generally, results are successful, however, due to skin type, healing or bleeding during procedure, some results can differ**

Avoid this during your aftercare process

  • You should not touch your lips unless you are cleaning or moisturizing them.
  • We recommend always using a cotton pad, a clean towel or washed hands when applying hygiene and aftercare products to your lips.
  • Refrain from activities or using products that could irritate your lips. Micro-wounds are created with Lip Blushing that leave you vulnerable to infection. Avoid activities that generate a lot of sweat for at least two weeks after lip blushing. (e.g. intense exercise, hot yoga, swimming, saunas). Excess moisture and sweat particles leave your skin susceptible to germs that could host a bacterial or fungal infection.
  • For at least 48 hours after your session avoid spicy food, soups and hot beverages. Use a straw to drink and Try to avoid touching the lips by placing foods directly in your mouth with a fork.
    • Avoid acidic, oily or salty foods and alcohol during the healing process.
  • Avoiding any teeth whitening activities with strips or a dentist while your lips are healing. 
  • Try not to get toothpaste on the lips when brushing your teeth.
  • For 2 weeks after your session, steer clear of direct sun exposure, chemical peels or laser treatments.
  • It is also recommended avoid the following during the healing process:
    • Wearing lipstick or lipgloss
    • Lip exfoliators
    • Kissing
    • Skin friction
